Estate Admimistration
ESTATE ADMINISTRATION is the process in which a person assets are collected and managed. Assets are gathered, debts are paid, and the remaining assets are disbursed after a death. The court process is called Probate. Probate can be informal with minimal oversight, or if there is controversy or a need for court supervision, it can be formal, with oversight and approval by a judge. Probate can be testate, which means with a will, or intestate, which is without a will. If a person dies without a will then the assets are distributed based on the law of the state of Colorado. Werth Law frequently represents personal representatives to provide guidance and advice during the administration of the estate.
